Welcome to Vinland Elementary and the 2023-2024 academic year!
My name is Jeanarta Coe, and in my 8th year as Vinland Principal, I continue to work for our children to have a high quality education that prepares students for College and Career. I look forward to collaboration with the staff and you to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging, and high-quality elementary experience full of opportunities to enjoy academic, social, and emotional success.
I believe that great schools are the results of great teachers, so my primary objective will be to ensure that every student is receiving high-quality instruction from every Vinland teacher. Alongside Cheryl Mrkaich, Vice Principal, we will provide teachers with feedback on their instruction, access to professional development, and reaching out to parents for support with student academic and behavioral growth opportunities to ensure our students are prepared for college and their careers. Our support staff and their excellent work in partnership with our teachers is also part of our plan to support your child.
We look forward to your child attending school in person beginning on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 8:00 AM for students. Students in TK and Kindergarten attend school from 8:00-12:50 PM. Students in grades 1-6 attend school from 8:00-2:05 PM.
Our Vinland staff strongly believes that the education of children is a partnership between the home and the school, and that parent involvement is crucial to the success of our students. We are committed to providing an education that will prepare your child to be a college/career ready graduate and we look forward to working with you toward this goal.
