Students will not be allowed to get drinks or go to the bathroom after the end of the recess bell has rung to prevent large groups of students from being in the same area. At the bell, students will freeze. Yard Duty teachers will blow the whistle, and students are directed to walk to their classroom line. Students are not allowed to play in the bathrooms or hallways.  Teachers will pick up their students and lead them to the classroom in a single-file, quiet, spaced-orderly line.

Teachers will pick up their students from the cafeteria and lead them to the classroom in a single-file, quiet, and space-orderly line with appropriate spacing. Teachers will review recess expectations and rules with students regularly and during behavior assemblies.

Prohibited Items

Cell phones, toys, or other items distracting to the school environment should not be brought to school.  Bringing these items creates several problems.  It takes away from the learning environment and causes problems with lost and stolen items that will not be the school's responsibility.  If these items are brought to school the teacher or administrator will secure the items and request that the family pick up the item.  If a cell phone is brought to school, it is to be kept in the child’s backpack and turned off.  If the cell phone is taken out of the backpack or rings or vibrates, it will be taken. 1st violation: Student picks it up at the end of the day. 2nd or more violations: Family must pick up the items and meet with a staff member.
